Former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has joined the star-studded veteran group at Manchester membership Wythenshawe AFC.
The 40-year-old spent 10 years at Previous Trafford, profitable two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups and the Europa League.
The previous Ecuador worldwide joins a protracted record of ex-Premier League stars at Wythenshawe, together with fellow title-winners Joleon Lescott, Danny Drinkwater, Marc Albrighton and Danny Simpson, plus ex-England frontman Emile Heskey and former Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse.
Valencia performed 339 video games for Manchester United and gained 99 worldwide caps, representing Ecuador on the World Cup in 2006 and 2014.
He retired from skilled soccer in 2021 and has since based his personal academy, AV25, in his residence nation.
Wythenshawe instructed BBC Sport that Valencia joined by the community of former professionals already on the membership and mentioned he was “an incredible addition”.
