Winfried Schäfer, Ghana’s Technical Director of Soccer, has outlined his twin mandate: help Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and lead a modernization of Ghanaian soccer.
The German coach, a 2002 AFCON winner with Cameroon, will apply his continental expertise to supervise youth improvement, technical packages, and training requirements.
His appointment by the GFA is seen as a strategic transfer to inject new power and path as Ghana goals for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.
