When Keane slipped out the again of what had been the group lodge to move for the airport and begin his journey house, Watson and some remaining photographers thought they’d missed their probability however adopted in a ready van.
“There was a heightened pressure inside that van as a result of we thought we might missed him. Out of the blue, very near the airport, we noticed [Keane] in a white van and we had been euphoric,” Watson remembers.
“Roy knew that he’d been rumbled and he jumped out of the van after which all hell broke unfastened I suppose. The flashbulbs went off left, proper and centre.
“I stated to the cameraman we have to go and ask some questions and I fired off 4, 5, six questions and [Keane] by no means modified his gaze, he by no means even checked out me.”
